PCS Bluegrass & Volunteer Chapter Meet
Once again we will be having our Owensboro Kentucky Spring Meet for 2022 that will be held on Friday May 6th through Sunday morning May 8, 2022!
Friday May 6, 2022- At 3:30 p.m. CST we will meet at the hotel before on to a favorite area eatery of the chapters, Moonlite BBQ Buffet Restaurant 2840 West Parrish Ave. Owensboro, KY 42301. After departing Moonlite it will be back to the host hotel Fairfield by Marriott 800 Salem Drive Owensboro, KY 42303 (270) 688-8887. Rates before taxes are $109.00 per night and remember to ask for the PCS Professional Car Society-Volunteer Chapter rate (you may ask for other rates, AAA, Military, etc) when making your reservations for that weekend! This special rate is only good till April 19, 2022! The remainder of the evening will be free to hang out and fellowship in the hotel parking lot and find dinner later on.
Saturday May 7, 2022- At 9:00 a.m. it will be breakfast at the hotel or at Denny’s located next door to the hotel. From there we will tour noted area cemeteries, Resurrection, Rosehill-Elmwood and maybe a couple others. After cemetery tours we’ll decide on a lunch location. After lunch we’ll tour the International Bluegrass Museum located at 311 W 2nd St, Owensboro, KY 42301, general admission is $12.00 www.bluegrasshall.org. After cemetery and museum touring we will have a brief time to ready cars for the evenings cruise-in located in Downtown Owensboro (3rd Street) from 3:30 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. After the cruise-in we will have dinner at a local restaurant (to be determined). If cruise-in gets rained out/canceled we can go to Consumers Mall (consignments and antiques) 2930 KY-144 Owensboro, KY or the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art. After the cruise-in and dinner it will be back over to the hotel for more parking lot fellowship and possibly coffee and dessert later at Denny’s located next door!
